Why I recommend this place to visitors
I went to Leysin as a student in July 2004. I stayed for 3 weeks “studying” in Leysin American School, it was amazing. The school is excellent:teachers are cool, food is well and there are many nice people to meet there.
Outside the school, the city is really enjoyful:all you need you’ll find. You can go skiing and snowboard at Glacier3000,eat some pizzas at La Nona, practice every kind of sport (from soccer to ice-skating) in the Gimnasium, play Golf in company of the coolest people in the world! You won’t regret! =]

The Cheese Museum is charming
My Grandmother owns a place here and I love it! Go to the Cheese Museum for cheese fondue and raclette. there is also fabulous skiing here, when you take the ski lift up there is a rotating restaraunt at the top with the most delicious leek soup which is full of melted Gruyer cheese, not to mention the view. Tobagenning is so much fun if there’s enough snow, and wasn’t very crowded when we were last there Dec/Jan. There is also an international school there (a boarding school) I would send my children to. It’s a charming little town with out much tourism, mostly it’s locals and those attending the international school. It is on the French side, but most people speak English. It’s about an hour to 45 minutes outside of Geneva.
