Ford's Theater

I recommend to all adults and kids to see a play at this theater! It is truely amazing and very magestic.

I’ve seen at least 6-8 plays, but my favorites were “Raisin in the Sun”, the perennial favorite – “A Christmas Carol”, and the local favorite – “A Tuna Christmas”.

“Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?”

Said by Sec’y of State Stanton as the greatest President our country has ever known breathed his last.

1987 or 1988

Visit the small home across * the street where Lincoln spent the last hours of his life suffering from his mortal wound.
Great introspection on how people lived & died during this period of time.
*next door to theatre is Hard Rock Cafe.

As well as visiting the theater, I strongly recommend going to the small room that Lincoln died in. It definitely gives a feel for the times, the stained pillowcase and all!
