I lived here when I was single and then again once married and even again with a family. Whittier’s cool, though it’s becoming less and less family friendly.

Whittier California by meliflowerThis town was named for John Greenleaf Whittier, famous poet and Quaker. This town originated as a Quaker settlement. It is not very exciting here. Even in Los Angeles, people don’t know where it is. Fun places in Whittier: Mimo’s Cafe Untitled by NedRaggett…was to see the v. good Smiths/Moz tribute band the Sweet and Tender Hooligans, who were playing a show here slightly randomly.
