It’s like a living room, loft, club … with a view of the Space Needle.

This place is one of my favorite bars/clubs in Seattle that happens to be in a weird location that is not that central to anything. It’s a block or two south of the more frequented Mars Bar. It’s primary charm involves a small loft-like main music area with couches along the wall. The stage isn’t elevated, and creates much more of a “we’re playing in your living room” feel. At one show I saw there people were sitting on the floor and the people in the band occasionally snapped their fingers as instruments. The old brick walls and arched windows that look right at the Space Needle don’t hurt anything or anyone. I recommend going upstairs and sitting in the “staff only” area that overlooks the dance floor, and pretending that you work there. The sound guy will excuse himself as you drink beer on the couch/bed and contemplate dropping something on the patrons below, if such a thing can be done in a friendly “I love this place and everyone here” sort of way.
