Brixton

I like Brixton, I lived there for 2 years, it’s busy, it’s a bit wild, lots of things going on…. saying all that I couldn’t live there again!!

The Bronx of England.

But worth going to the Academy….amazing venue.

Waited outside it for 10 hours….there were some….interesting people…to say the least…

Tips:

1) Don’t turn up in a car worth over £20’000. Especially Bentleys.

2) Don’t flash anything else around worth more than a fiver.

3) Don’t look at anyone in the eye…...

4) BLEND IN!!!!!!!!

I miss Brixton. Lived here for almost two years. The market, the 109 Bus… the best indian takeaway… I promise to go back and relive the memories soon. :)

Further reasons why the Clash are annoying - they make you think it’s all about doom and gloom there. Now, this said, don’t get me wrong - it was only a day visit to see friends perform at a venue, and I won’t make any claims as to what regular life there is like. But it was a lovely day when I went, I ambled down one of the main streets and enjoyed my walk greatly. So yeah, it’s all cool—and these days I just think of the Basement Jaxx song “I Live In Camberwell” instead.
