Welland
Worth visiting!
How this place changed my life
I’ve lived in this city since I was two. Some people may look at it and think it’s a waste of time, or a dead city. But to tell you the truth, it’s not. Welland isn’t rural, but it also isn’t a big city. It’s full of friendly, unique people. Everyone seems to know each other and conversations can start between two complete strangers.
Also there’s a great music scene around here. Some really good local bands played their first shows at our concert lounge, The End.

A review of this place: I think I was the only Viet Nam Veteran in Canada at the time!
I spent almost a year in Welland and worked at CR Stewart Equipmant as a mechanic… The people in Welland were wonderfuland many a night was spent at the Barclay Hotel or on the other side of the “lower bridge” drinking pitchers of beer! I was in love with a gal named Jo Ann Brocklebank but her parents didn’t like me because I was a “Yank”. Oh well..Welland bridge was a marvel and one night at a camp out ,the Arora Borealis (sp?) was neat too!.. I kleft there and moved first to Niagara Falls, NY and then to Willow Grove Pa.
