Where I live now by anyafire
It’s a small town, full of beautiful old houses and more beautiful older trees and families who’ve been here forever. You can get in to see the Mayor, participate in Veterans’ Day, Fourth of July and Christmas-tree-lighting celebrations, take a book out of the library and sit on the library lawn to read it. People know each other — sometimes it feels like they know your every move, but that’s not always a bad thing. We have a huge rose garden for the town that’s justly celebrated, Bill’s Barbecue and Parker’s Barbecue are both here, and BB&T was born here. I haven’t been here forever, but it’s a wonderful place to call home.
