*Must* have reservations..

call ahead, The Moss Garden is very serene as well as the Glen & Reflection Garden pool. I loved the stand of Soloman’s Seal in the woods. Plan on a couple hours to make the rounds. I was here in late spring and would like to go back in the fall.

Why I want to go to this place

I saw on Wikipedia that this is where poet Theodore Roethke died:

“The Bloedels ordered the pool filled with soil the following day. It was later converted into a Zen rock garden as a silent memorial to the poet, and remains as such on the Bloedel Reserve.”

A nice memorial, if you ask me.
