Chocolate City
Home of Nestle, gotta love it just for the good chocolate. It’s such a beautiful place. Great access from and to Geneva and while staying in Vevey I was able to make quick (day) trips over to Leukerbad, Freibourg and Zurich. It’s just across the lake from Montreux .

A review of this place
I have been in Vevey many times for work, and it’s a nice small city on the lake Geneva. Very quiet, pittoresque. I usually prefer it in Summer when the Jazz Festival is in Montreux (10 mins by train).

I was on a business trip to Nestle
And I remember during lunch sitting at a little cafe on Lac Loman eating fresh-water perche. I got a little bone stuck in my throat and it stayed there for days!
A lovely town.

A review of this place
pretty town, with a french flair in its old town. the views along lac leman and the alps are some of the best scenery to be seen in switzerland. a stroll in the early or even late evening is completely relaxing. lots of people here don’t speak much english (since it’s not a major tourist hub), but for me, this added to its charm. the statue of Charlie Chaplin should not be missed, since it stands on one of the best spots on the shoreline. Peyot, the confiserie in the old town, makes chocolate Chaplin shoes that would make for a good story (expensive at 6.5CHF for just a pair though).
