Puerto Princesa

we went on a concert tour. i was part of the choir. those were good days. i remember the caves, the water, and the children of puerto princesa very fondly. i’d love to visit again.

I was imperessed with the the attitudes of the locals—they are so warm and friendly and welcoming, you won’t actually feel like you’re a “stranger!”

claimed to be the largest city in the philippines, home of the Vietnamese Village, various seafood restaurants (go to Kalui’s their sizzling sisig,buko shake, and prawns are delicious), Kamarikutan Kafi and Art Gallery, the Palawan Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, Binuatan Creations and weavings, Iwahig Prison, Ramon Mitra’s Ranch House and View Deck, and a short boat ride to Honda Bay. Still a developing city filled with trees and the umistakable mountains at the distance, it’s a place to enjoy, relax, and of course, my favorite, to beach hop!

This is where we went on one of our department outings while I was still in ADB. The hotel was in Puerto Princesa but we went to the Underwater River, Vietnam Village, Iwahig Prison Colony and of course, the beaches. Definitely another place that I would like to visit again.
