Hmm.. the canyon was pretty unimpressive. Really small. Good for nature buffs who love hiking even in Texas heat, I guess. It also gets really crowded and it gets tiresome having to jump out of the way for those crazy bikers.

A review of this place: Why I Love Palo Duro Canyon

Palo Duro Canyon is my favorite outdoor place. I spent many years hiking in and visiting PDC when I grew up. Now I live in Wyoming, which is an outdoor paradise, but I still love PDC. Palo Duro Canyon is the world’s most colorful canyon, with more colors actually recorded there than anywhere else. The canyon is also rich in history for the history buff. There is much diversity in the canyon, but it is getting crowded with visitors. Yet, there are multitudes of little cubby holes and hidden away places all through the canyon one can escape to. The formations are awesome. Be sure to take your camera!

A review of this place: The Largest State Park In Texas

I’ve been drug through this canyon since I was a litte one. It’s pretty and all. Sometimes there tends to be too many people on the weekends and holidays. I recomend you try and get there on a weekday if you like peace and quiet. Good place to camp, with both civilized camping and primitive. Good hiking, a bike trail, history, nature, et. al.
