Yummy yummy soul food! It’s always packed on weekends, so come early and expect to wait for a bit. Vegetarians have to be very picky and ask a lot of questions, but you can still get a decent, completely delicious meal.

As I mentioned in my NYC spiel, I went to Sylvia’s and enjoyed it; Of course, the price was a bit much, but for NYC, I guess I couldn’t complain; The food was superb.

Last year I visited N.Y.C for the first time and I cannot wait until the next time.. The last day of my visit, a white Sunday, I decided to taste soul food in Harlem. As a tourist I had no idea where to go for the best Cajun dishes but I believe that Sylvia’s is an institution there! Great cooking (slightly over-rated though) and the friendliest atmosphere I have ever experienced. I am Greek and on Sundays I always miss family reunions so in a way experience of soul food at Sylvia’s was comfort food as well!
