Why I want to go to this place

Besides see the place where the Creeks signed the Treaty, I want to check with the BOE of that county and see what schools need teachers. I want to see the High School.

I drove over there the other day, after my visit

to the V.A. Hospital…

I drove on the straight road toward Macon.

There was a lovely little vale at a creek called Turkey.

Eventually, the Creek Confederacy enacted a law that made further land cessions a capital offense. Nevertheless, on February 12, 1825, McIntosh and other chiefs signed the Treaty of Indian Springs, which gave up most of the remaining Creek lands in Georgia.” —from Wikipedia
