The Exotic Feline Breeding Compound (located in Rosamond, just a few minutes from the small “town” of Mojave) is awesome and worth repeated visits!

I mean, I saw a space ship take off here. And the wind at night is incredible.

I love little independent diners. If you’re going through Mojave in the morning, stop at Jerry’s, right off the 14.

The main things I remember from all the times I’ve passed through Mojave on my way to and from the Owens Valley are a raven flapping slowly over the freeway with a struggling mouse in its beak, and the time we tried to take a short cut and ended up on a side road next to some desperate looking houses and trailers all patched together.
