Freeport

I just got back from another trip to Freeport and we weren’t disappointed. For one the exchange rate was really in our favor, but the clothes we bought are really a great deal.

I must say the Azure Cafe in town was a really great restaurant. We had an amazing dinner that is only going to continue drawing me back to Freeport.

There is great shopping but not only at chain stores, check out abacus the cool art gallery type shop with neat and unique items. My other favorite thing is the McDonalds it looks so stately and dignified. I appreciate the architecture and how they have maintained old buildings rather than tearing them down.

Of course I’ve been there. I graduated from Pine Tree Academy!!!!!

This company was a client of mine in the early 1990s, so I had a chance to visit their HQ in Freeport. I stayed at the Armory, which was neat. It used to be a munitions storehouse, but it was converted into a hotel. My favorite memory, other than touring the warehouse and shopping in their store, was having “steamers” on the Atlantic Coast, lobsters and clams brought in right off the fishing boats. Yum!

since I was there in hmmm…. what? 1991?
