Not worth visiting!

I went here a few years ago on a family trip. We took The Cat. That HUGE catamaran.
We made the mistake of going on a Sunday. After 4:00 NOTHING was open. I went into a gas station. That was it.
A friend who went with us ordered a coffee at what looked like a small trailer or bus. He asked for cream and sugar and they put it in for him. That’s a major no-no. Oh the iced tea there is attrocious.
Aside from some pretty roses, I didn’t really care for it.
I guess I’m just too southern for Nova Scotia.

A tip I have about this place
When in Yarmouth, be sure to have a meal at Rudder’s. The food is great and the atmosphere is relaxed. If the weather permits, eat outside on the deck.

The constant lament of Yarmouth restaurateurs and shopkeepers is this: The summer tourists who steadily stream off the incoming ferries rarely linger long enough to appreciate the city before they mash the accelerator and speed off to higher-marquee venues along the coast. There might be a reason for that. Yarmouth is a pleasant burg that offers some noteworthy historic architecture dating from the golden age of seafaring. But the town's not terribly unique, and thus not high on the list of places to spend a few days. It's a bit too big (pop. 7,800) to be charming; too small to generate urban buzz and vitality. It has more the flavor of a handy pit stop than a destination, though recent redevelopment efforts have spruced up the waterfront a bit and added evening entertainment during the summer months, a very welcome sign.
