make sure you go when the ice road is open from Inuvik. It is very interesting driving the 120 miles along the frozen MacKenzie river. Your drive takes you beyond the tree line along the way. Also, make sure you get to go into the underground community freezer, extremely interesting. You can stay at the hotel Tuk Inn, nothing fancy, but warm, comfortable and they serve meals.

Possibly the most northern road in North America. I desire to go here to begin the longest road trip possible without zig-zaging everywhere. From here to Cape Horn in Argentina, the most southern place in South America. I shall travel from coast to coast through 13 countries.
