Fort Irwin

Truly, this place makes you feel like you have reached the end of the earth. It’s literally 45 minutes to civilization, if you consider Barstow worthy of that description. For a girl who grew up in the desert to say that it was TOO DAMNED HOT here is saying a lot. Everything smells like dirty kitty litter when it rains. I do miss the sunsets over the mountains with all of the purple and pink colors that you can only seem to see in that part of the country but it’s not worth going back for.
