Question: How can you find your true self?  — 1 year ago

I meditate, I pray, I do workshops, I contemplate, I write, I take photos, I study, I read, I travel, I explore, I put myself to the test, I take on fresh challenges constantly, and aggressively, I try to overcome my hang-ups, I tell myself there is only Now, that each day I walk one step closer to my grave. I want to forget myself. I wish that I had no more wishes. I need to learn how to serve others. I need to drop my ego. It will take zillions and millions of kalpas for me to reach the amount of enlightenment held in a mere grain of sand.
Oh, well, I guess I should just drop being a perfectionist.

What I want to do at this place  — 2 years ago

Inokashira and the zoo are obvious musts, but then it’s lunch/snacktime at Pepa, and there’s a yarn shop I have to visit. I believe the book shop I want to browse is fairly nearby.

After that it’s just wandering, doing the Photography (so as not to put two years of photo education to waste), and making sure at some point I mosey through the Catholic cemetary north of the station. Must go.

Kichijoji is my favorite place in Tokyo. Located at the end of the Keio Inokashira Line or on the Chuo Line, it is one of the best places to visit. Home to Inokashira park (great for sakura viewing in the Spring, paddling a boat around, strolling, picnics, you name it), the best yakitori place in Tokyo (iseya), a ton of little shops and restaurants, and even some department stores, I really couldn’t imagine not living in Tokyo and visiting this area.
