Worth visiting!
A tip I have about this place
Besides Nye Beach, on the street of little shops, just between the Peerless Puffin and the Sandbar, is the Chowder Bowl. I’ve been eating here since I was a kid and it’s way better than Moe’s.
I would almost stake my life on it. Moe’s has been riding on one review they got ten years ago and naive word of mouth. The Chowder Bowl has been constantly recognized and in the end, it’s just tastier. Even the Today Show liked it :3
Just give it a try sometime? Maybe you’ll run into me there. XD

A review of this place: Nice to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there
Wait! I do live there. It’s peaceful enough, but there’s not much to do. It gets really boring really quickly.

Beautiful
Lived there back in the early ‘90’s, and it was an awesome place to be. I think anyone who has never seen the ocean should travel this part of the west coast to get a feel of how breath taking all the surrounding cities are when you head north and south.
Once in a life time adventure.

Introduction to Newport

"City by the Sea" is the singularly unimaginative nickname an early resident unloaded on Newport. At least it was accurate, because for a time during the colonial period it rivaled Boston and even New York as a center of New World trade and prosperity. Newport occupies the southern tip of Aquidneck Island in Narragansett Bay, and is connected to the mainland by three bridges and a ferry. Wealthy industrialists, railroad tycoons, coal magnates, financiers, and robber barons were drawn to the area in the 19th century, especially between the Civil War and World War I. They bought up property at the ocean's rim to build what they called summer "cottages" -- which were in fact mansions of immoderate design and proportions patterned after European palaces.
