Bud’s Jazz Records has been around for ages. You absolutely have to visit this place at some point in your Seattle life. Walking down the below-grade staircase brings you to a shire/shrine of complete Jazz appreciation. I haven’t been in a few years but let’s assume that Bud still sits behind the counter offering advice to anyone willing to strike up conversation. A maven’s maven, this man should be placed in the Smithonian as one of the great American repositories of jazz history.
