Falls Park

Such an amazing site once they built the bridge over the falls.

its a great place to go if your bored in greenville..and we just got a Starbucks near by Thank God!

falls park is now quite a different place from the sort of deserted park my friends and i used to frequent on friday nights during high school! i’m a bit upset that the construction of the governor’s school stripped the park of its secludedness, and the new bridge and restaurants only exposed it more. the new park is quite beautiful but it’s a rather forced and manufactured beauty that now lacks the natural charm that made it so special to me in the past. i admit, though, it’s probably one of the nicest spots in the “city” of greenville.

i totally thought the renovation project would destroy the most beautiful spot downtown, but i was wrong! the suspension bridge is great… and the big rock is still there and available to climb on. good times, good times!
