Delray Beach

I had my first job in Florida working the reservation desk at the Colony Hotel on Atlantic Ave. Lunch at the Cabana Club. Room at the Tropical on US1. Lot of good friends and good parties. Who can forget the St Patrick’s day parade. Can you say green beer!

Really, it’s not. It’s something like 15 miles wide East-West and about 4 miles long North-South.

Despite being very not-big, there’s a lot to do here. There’s the Morikami museum, the tennis center, and a metric pantload of places to eat, watch a movie, or just hang out. There are bars and artsy places, as well as festivals downtown like the Garlic Festival (which I manage to miss every year like clockwork) and so on.

But enough brochure-writing. It’s a nice place to be. It just is.

I have been to almost every resturant in town and probably every bar, Its a fun place to visit always something going on.
