Worth visiting!

I live in Corbin, so I visit the falls often. It’s maybe 15 or 20 minutes away from my home, so we go down to the beach or we take visiting relatives down to see the waterfall.

A review of this place: Home

I live not even 20 minutes away from this place & am a frequent visitor. It’s gorgeous! Cumberland Falls is a great place for hiking or just enjoying the serenity of the rushing water. Very peaceful & laid back…I like going here to clear my head sometimes.

Why I recommend this place to visitors

Cumberland Falls has one of the last moonbows left in the world! It’s an amazing site for anyone who has never had the experience.

Worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

Genuine Moonbows appear in only two places in the world; one place is Victoria Falls in Africa, and the other place is Cumberland Falls, Kentucky (Corbin). According to tourist booklets, a moonbow is more likely to be seen under the following conditions: cooler weather, full moon, abundant spray from the waterfall and after midnight.

I visited the falls in October and I waited and waited and waited. I never saw a moonbow on either night that I was there. However, I enjoyed this trip immensely. Cumberland Falls is absolutely beautiful and the falls are definitely a Photo Opportunity!!!!
