Diving diving diving. Though I am starting to notice that two of the three places I have thusfar entered involve a bunch of dead people on site. Either this appeals to the Buddhist in me, and the idea that I need to contemplate death, or maybe I’m just a morbid SOB…

Truk Lagoon in many ways the equivalent to the wild wild west of American History. Sadly this association often scares people from coming, along with the expensive price for a plane ticket. What the lagoon is world famous for is wreck diving. Lets just say its worlds best spot for wreck diving. This is all thanks to WW2. Result is what people call “Divers Heaven”. Lesser known fact about the Chuuk State is the outer islands. These are harder to get to but work the experience. The westerns are said to be some of the more traditional islands in the pacific. Traditional navigators still navigate with age old traditions, islanders wear local dress, and thatched houses line the beaches. Lucky there is air service to the island of Hauk, or Pulusuk. It goes on average once a week providing enough people onboard. It also goes to some of the outer islands. Any case if you want an adventure of a lifetime, to see a lifestyle that sadly probably wont be around in 50 years, this is the time to come.
