Definitely one of the best places to be in the heat of summer in Oregon. On a clear blue sky you can get a perfect view of Mt. Hood, and almost feel like you can reach out and touch it.

Worth visiting!

Beautiful easy walk

Most people we saw seemed to be staying there (cabins or camping), but it was a lovely drive to and from the lake, and a nice easy hike around (about 3 miles, easy ups and downs, partly paved). Views of Mt. Hood from one side were spectacular.

This seemed to be popular with families. It’s very rustic.
