Ben Lomond

It’s beautiful, especially if you like trees. It’s not far from the beach, either. 20 minutes away from santa cruz, and you can go from a forest of redwoods to the beach boardwalk to the beautiful west cliffs.

Ben Lomond is a tiny town in the Santa Cruz mountains, a few miles north of the city of Santa Cruz. It’s rural and not known for anything, but is a nice place to stay with access to beach and redwoods and boasts a great music venue – Henflings Firehouse Tavern and a terrific quirky Italian Restaurant with entertainment – Ciao Bella! There is also the Castle, built in 1927, the Mountain Community Theatre and the Mountain Art Center.
