I can’t say enough about the History Department.

"My degree"
I’m from Logan and graduated from USU with a History degree in 1994. I loved my USU experience (classes and friends). It was great. Two places in Logan really stand out, the Crisis Center and the Friendly House.
The Crisis Center was an apartment/house we partied at. I really don’t know who lived there, but the name came about because there always was one crisis or another going on. Lots of drama. Lots of bullshit.
The Friendly House was just the opposite. We partied there too, but without the drama and bullshit. It was on 3rd East just off Main Street. Eventually everyone I knew (myself included) lived there at one time or another.
About Utah State, it was a great vibe until the state did a bunch of bullshit renovations. The Sunburst Lounge, Game Room, and Student Center were great, but are now sadly gone. They were replaced by mini-mart stores or some other crap. The Student Center is now very generic.
Still, the History and Anthropology Departments are excellent!

Nice campus, I'd say
I was here for a writing conference, as mentioned in the main Logan entry, and what I saw of the campus when I was away from the sessions was really quite beautiful. This was back in 1996, to be sure, and I have no idea how the campus has changed or not since, but based on some photos I’ve found it still seems to be worthy of its excellent location.
