I have lived in White Plains for about 7 1/2 years. The town is experiencing a lot of commercial growth which has driven real estate prices up considerably. White Plains’ proximity to Manhattan might make it a desirable place to live for some. However, the town itself has little to offer beyond the standard suburban fare – Target, Starbucks, Applebees, blah, blah, blah. There’s even a Walmart in the works. Aaargghh!
