I cycle through here sometimes
I’m not really the graveyard type but I do quite like this place. The tranquility and sense of age is offset by the view of the Tennent’s brewery and the occasional group of lads getting loudly pissed.

One of the most memorable experiences in my life
I got some great photos out of it too. The people at the church were very nice and the museum of religion is right across the street.
You don’t need to be religious, spiritual, or goth to appreciate the extreme beauty and uniqueness of this place.

Breathtaking
this was the third stop of the day, (the 1st being Provands Lordship and the 2nd was Glasgow Cathedral). It was cold and windy and with the late afternoon sun this a pretty walk. There are 3500 tombs here (50,000 people buried) and yet I only saw just a fraction of those. It was sad to see some graffiti, but this place was still amazingly beautiful. A must-see if you are in Glasgow.
