So much fun! Halloween is the best time to go, I’m not sure if they still do this but you used to be able to go on a hay ride where the Headless Horseman would ride the wagon down. Scared the crap out of me as a kid but it’s still so much fun. over 6 years agoUntitled by simultaneouslyRead a National Geographic travel mag article about this place. apparently in their “follow the north star” program, visitors pretend to be bands of runaway slaves for 90 minutes. it’s supposedly a very intense experience. anyone ever done this? what did you think? over 6 years agoLiving History by SallyKittGreat place to visit to find out what it was like to live in the midwest in the 1800s. I went there to do research for a novel. Had a great day. There are also plenty of wonderful articles, etc., on their website. [Photo is from the website. Where else do you get to see young men with oxen these days?] over 7 years ago |
