Jekyll Island

This was our honeymoon destination. It is beautiful and peaceful. Just a wonderful place to be.

This was my honeymoon destination. We biked, shopped, relaxed, rode some horses, had a picnic on the beach. I have nothing but great memories of this place! One day, I’ll go back =)

I have happy memories of visiting them. We used to walk around the whole island looking for sharks teeth.

not lined with hotels like other beaches…very nice

I love to be on Jekyll Island mainly because the entire island is accessible by bicycle. No need to drive anywhere. Secondly the people are out of this world and lastly, the have the BEST low country boil at a small bar/diner. You can sit on the dock, listen to local bands and just enjoy yourself. The bar (wish I could think of the name) has dollar bills stapled ALL over the place that people have signed their names to).
JI als has a great sea turtle rescue—awesome. Everything.

I used to make a trip there every Easter weekend, alas, employment and distance have kepy me from there in recent years, but I long to go back!

Summer waves is a blast, the historical region is fun, and the beach is great! What more could you want?
