The Pied Cow

Great conversations to be heard and given here, plus the people watching, making the Pied Cow one of the most relaxing atmospheres in Portland. Always crowded. Cardamon Steamer a good choice for cold nights. Heated outdoor patio with Hookahs makes for another pleasant experience.

I went out with a girl when I first moved from the Midwest to Portland and she took me here. I was blown away that there were hookas on the back deck and it was fairly secluded.

Way awesome and worth it.

I recommend The Pied Cow 1) because I’ve never been here without seeing at least someone that I know (and I’ve been here a lot), 2) I’ve seen a lady fully dressed as a cat when it was no where close to being Halloween, 3) it is the only place that I know of that offers “rose” as being a drink flavor, and 4) when I moved away from Portland, after living there for my entire life, it was the place that I miss the most.

i couldn’t sit down and had to order my drink directly from the kitchen. i love this place!

edit: this is not sarcasm. this is a lovely cafe, just as crowded at 10:30 pm as it is at 5:30 pm (i’d imagine).

I recomend the lavender steamer.
