Camping on the island, 4 wheeling to blue lake…

Been going twice a year since I was 5.

My favourite Island, ever. Don’t forget to do the gorge walk.

Hidden from the world because it’s not ‘promoted’ to tourists, North Stradbroke Island or ‘Straddie’ as it’s fondly known, is a magical heaven on earth, especially for those of us who just need to escape from the ratrace of ‘life’! Go there and disover fantastic beaches (beware of the sharks that lurk the surf), inland lakes, amazing wildlife, fauna & flora and some of the most superb food at the handful of cafes/restaurants. And last but not least, spend an afternoon at the pub in Point Lookout, mesmerised by the sunset vista.
