Greenock (Gaelic Grianaig, pronounced [g̊ɾʲiənɛg̊ʲ]) is a large town and former burgh of barony in the Inverclyde council area of western Scotland. It forms part of a contiguous urban area with Gourock to the west and Port Glasgow to the east.
