Oatman

Oatman is a great time for everyone. I went with my family and everyone loved it. The burros are awesome and it was great that you could walk right up and feed them. Even my young cousin had a great time. I missed the daily ‘showdown’ they have on the street but I still had lots of fun. There were tons of great little shops where you can find inexpensive souviners and gifts. If you’re ever in northern Arizona you should check it out.

This is a wacky town that is worth a stop. There are crazy events going on throughout the year. The 4th of July egg fry, bed races in January, desert plant Christmas decorating and the famous International Burro Biscuit tossing championships!

Try eating rattlesnake at Cactus Joe’s. Feed the burros, visit the Oatman Hotel where ghosts reside or drink a chili beer.
