Fort Bragg

On my sister’s husband’s side of the family everyone is military (including her husband). He was stationed here for a while, and went to Iraq for 15 months while there.

They all call it Fayettenam (Viet-nam)

I may be the only person on this list that spent time here and isn’t involved in the military. I was here with a touring cast of Godspell.

This was the first military assignment my husband and I had. We had just been married 6 months when we move away from home for the first time ever. A year later our daughter was born! 21 years later he’s still serving our country and we’re still happily married!

I’ve never been back, so, sorry no travel tips!
One thing to be aware of though, FIRE ANTS! My mom was stung by them while living here and her leg was scarred for life!

I was glad to leave it again! I spent a total of six years at Fort Bragg during my husband’s two tours. I was very glad to finally leave and know that I would never have to live there again. Way too many bugs! And too hot and muggy! Yuck!!
