Minnewaska State Park

I went here a few years ago and would love to go back up this fall when the leaves are turning. Perhaps after the baby is born. When I went it was August and my best friend and I went swimming in the freezing cold lake. It was worth it.

It was gorgeous to watch the autumn leaves, the white cliffs on the lake, have a picnic lunch here, and amusing to visit the ‘comfort stations’.

A great place for hikes and hanging in the woods. The trail around Minnewaska Lake is a nice short (<2 mile) walk with amazing views, but the park offers all kinds of hikes if you want something a little longer. You can get a park map at the entrance. Cross countrt skiing in the winter, too.

xc skiing is so much fun!
