Wilmette

I was born here and lived here for the first 10 years of my life. It’s very upscale. The library is the next best thing to the library of congress (they literally have EVERYTHING). The downtown is really nice and sort of touristy (but it’s not what you think of when you think of downtown, it’s very small) The Panera is really nice, instead of hanging out at the mall you hang out at Panera. The summers are really nice, and the winters are really rough and cold. Wilmette has a great Park District.
The beach is really nice. Great scenery. And it’s sort of funny to listen to people who have never seen a Great Lake before see Lake Michigan.
I wish i could move back!

wilmette is visually stunning. i only really went to visit the temple which was like visiting a piece of heaven. but i walked around the town a little bit in the cold rains of May. it’s right on the water. It was my first time ever seeing a great lake and i couldn’t believe how big it was. it was like staring off into the ocean! for a second i thought, oh, i wonder what ocean this is! but then it hit me that i wasn’t anywhere near the ocean. hahahaha! i’d like to visit again and get a little more acquainted with the town. but my drive along the water and walk around the house of worship to the cemetery and all was just amazing. i like the little parts of the town i saw. remind me of quieter parts of baltimore. fumbly sidewalks lined with broad-canopy trees and old pretty houses and architecture. it wasn’t dreary or anything, just very peaceful.

I would love to go here so bad! I have heard so many amazing things about Wilmette. I think I’m gonig to move there…Eventualy!

Breathtaking, and yet it feels like home!

I can drive around this place for hours! In fact I did, the homes are sensational to look at. What amazed me was the building process where they could build a fabulous mansion and make it look 200 years old. I would love to know the process or the names of the building contractors who can do this type of construction.
