the Rondout Historic District is a great area, situated where the Rondout Creek breaks out from the Hudson River.

There’s some great old ships and lots of shops and restaurants. Very old timey feeling. It was hard to find a place we could eat with the dog even though we were told it was a very dog-friendly town.
