Right out my window by DeborahMcI
I live in New Westminster, a stone’s throw from the Fraser River, and have driven up and down it for work, and on holidays, all my life. As much as the mountains and ocean, it’s part of what roots me to being a British Columbian. It played – and plays – a huge role in the lives of BC’s First Nations, and at one time an equally significant role in BC’s economy. Realtors around here dismiss it’s occasionally homely countenance with the phrase “it’s a working river”. It’s a kick-ass working river.
