Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum

We spent more time than we thought we would here after noticing the props in many of the scenes. Playboy bunny ears and robes in the Hugh Heffner scene, a wedding dress in the chapel, checkered flags in the Nascar room, patriotic stuff in the USA room…

Bring a camera and be prepared to act a little goofy – it is worth it.

It’s freaky to witness human simulacra in tableau. Little Yassar Arafat stands grinning, chest thrust out and revolver on hip. Ronnie Reagan beams while Nancy gives her tight-lipped little smile. While there’s something, well, waxy about their skins, these figures are deftly executed and frankly displayed to present the waxworker’s high art.

I’ve been to the one in London and I must say it’s really pretty cool to see how life like these wax things are.

I actually liked Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, it’s kind of like visiting all your favorite dead, cold, waxy celebrity friends.

Visit it one time, just so you can say that you’ve been there.
