Write an entry Entries about this placeYou can't beat free! by peaceforhumansThe zoo is not the best I’ve been to, but for free it is pretty nice! I feel sorry for some of the animals because their enclosures are so small. I was there during the Chicago Air Show. The animals were very tense and irritated by the big military jets. I want to go back on a non-air show day to see if the animals are happier. over 5 years agoUntitled by geegollygoshI used to go here a lot. It’s not the most amazing zoo around, but it’s free and it’s in the middle of chicago and it’s a pretty neat spot just to stop by for a while. Right near there is also the lake and the conservatory and the nature museum, which are all cool places to go as well. over 5 years agoahhh the zoo by hananabananaThis is one of my favorite places in Chicago. It’s always free, you get to look at critters (the bears and the sandcats are the most entertaining… though the flamingos in the springtime are hilarious as well.
