Have developed a theory on why it's called that

No one remembers why it’s called Goose Neck.

Finally I hit on a reasonable explanation. I’ve found two turtles crossing the road about the same spot. They have a goose-like neck, and a snout like a bird too. I think Goose Neck may be named after the turtle, which is a soft-backed turtle, with paws that seem like sea weed.
