Not worth visiting!
A review of this place: Nothing Remarkable
I’ve lived here 20 years, haven’t come across any interesting shops. City library is minimal.
I suppose the new huge Regal Cinemas complex with the slew of mini restaurants is what attracts most visitors. Limited commercial zone. A few office buildings in the southwest corner, and newer larger ones in the east. Big military base, barren hills, and a prison take up a lot of space.
Other than that, it’s just a bunch of commuter homes crowded around the 568/680 intersection. Some very big homes in the new developments in the west and east of the city.
Pleasanton has a much nicer library, has the fairgrouds, and has a much nicer looking downtown area.

i grew up here
granted, i haven’t lived here in about 12 years – apparently it’s changed a lot doubled in size even. but i had to say something nice about the small town i grew up in. so, perhaps this is a comment about what dublin used to be.
it was close to berkeley – which i loved as a teeenager. i could go to punk and rock shows. the schools were great and i had amazing, gifted teachers. high school was a friendly place – even though i was a little too left of center for most.
if i had to be raised in the suburbs – i couldn’t have asked for a better place.
RIP dublin of the past?

It’s the endpoint of the Iron Horse Trail and of the blue line on BART, but otherwise, why would anyone go to Dublin?

Dublin is filled with tons of rude white people. The police are rude, the people who live there are rude, and there’s absolutely nothing worth doing in Dublin.
I use to spend weeks at a time in Dublin (by choice), staying with friends. I don’t know how the hell we killed time.
And on multiple occasions, the police have gone out of their way to be pricks.
San Francisco at least has a nice police force.

My Hometown
Dublin, CA is located approx. 40 miles East-South-East of San Francisco. A city of approximately 36,000, this suburb is like most, but is close enough to enjoy all the great places in the San Francisco area, and only a couple of hours from Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, etc.
