Write an entry Entries about this placeHaven’t been here in about 7 years. Went here a couple times back in 2002. Had a blast!!!!!!!! Lots of cool bars and clubs. Go to Tap Werks (I think that’s how they spelled it). All kinds of beer on tap. Bricktowns are all over the U.S. I disagree with the preceeding post. Bricktown isn’t a copy of San Antonio. Its a place for younger people to party and drink/have a good time. Why does food have to get lumped in with why a place would be desirable to visit/party. They do have restaurants here. Its just that at night its not really tailored for a family as its a large party/bar destination. My thoughts: There are plenty of family restaurants in the OKC area. Go there and drink your lemonade. Maybe you can be in bed by 10:00 P.M. But, if your young and want to party, well go to bricktown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Went Back and Wandered Around - Changing My Vote by russellviiiOn a subsequent trip to Oklahoma City about a month later I had a chance to visit Bricktown again. It is a nice area, and one of the restaurants where I ate had some nice food, but I thnk that I’m going to change my vote to “Not Worth Visiting” and I’ll explain why. On this visit I went to Bricktown alone to find a place for dinner. I was disappointed at the real lack of restaurants in the area. The whole area seemed like they were trying to copy the Riverwalk in San Antonio. The only problem is that there really isn’t the same historic feel and festive type of atmosphere that is found in San Antonio. There really aren’t enough restaurants in the area. I had to do a lot of walking before I found one that I liked that was open. No, I’m not a really picky eater, it’s just that a lot of the restaurants were closed. There were a number of bars open, but I’m not really into the bar scene. Perhaps these restaurants are open on weekends or perhaps on game days, seeing that this area is adjacent to the baseball stadium. It looks like it has the potential to be a very nice area, but it still has a long way to go. over 4 years agoUntitled by russellviiiI went there with several colleagues for dinner. Bricktown is a redeveloped area of the city that was previously a bunch of old warehouses. it is now a nice entertainment area. over 4 years agoUntitled by sammerjammersToby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill. =) over 5 years agoUntitled by kyndasortaI dont really know aobut Bricktown… Just that I work there. over 6 years agoSee all 8 entries |
