There was this awesome comic book store called “Sarge’s Comics” that was located in the small downtown part of New London. He carries an extensive collection of anime/manga & even lets your rent them for a bit. Not sure if he’s still there, but it’s worth a look!

I served on the USS George C. Marshall SSBN 654 (G) in the early ’70’s. The 654 was home ported at the Submarine Base there in New London. I left the Marshall and headed to San Diego at the Point Loma Submarine Base.

I do have a few good memories of New London… and a few bad…
