New London

We lived in a big old duplex on Garfield St.

There was this awesome comic book store called “Sarge’s Comics” that was located in the small downtown part of New London. He carries an extensive collection of anime/manga & even lets your rent them for a bit. Not sure if he’s still there, but it’s worth a look!

I served on the USS George C. Marshall SSBN 654 (G) in the early ‘70’s. The 654 was home ported at the Submarine Base there in New London. I left the Marshall and headed to San Diego at the Point Loma Submarine Base.

I do have a few good memories of New London… and a few bad…

If only to visit someone special there.

Stationed here in 1987. Area is rich with history. If you’re not from New England, you can visit places every day and the list doesn’t get shorter.
