Continental Airlines Arena aka: Izod Center

We went to this concert by the Trans Siberian Orchestra not knowing what to expect. I had heard a few of their songs occasionally, but had no idea what to expect besides a night out. WOW……….I’ve been to many concerts in the last 50 years but have never had an experience like this. If they appear near you, DO NOTMISS IT. An amazing blend of Christmas stories mixed with heavy metal music, and one hell of a show.

This was a decent older NHL arena — lacking in some of the more modern amenities (only a few luxury boxes, older concession stands, no bar areas, etc.) but it is nicer than some of the other “older” arenas. According to an announcement at the game today, the Devils will only play one more season here, and in 2007-08, they will play in their new arena.

We have tickets to see the Flyers play the Devils here the week of Easter.

I want to see a NJ Devils home game. Ideally, we’ll combine this trip with games in Long Island and NYC.
