Love this place. It’s a great museum, one of the best children’s museums. I used to go here all the time growing up. One of the best things (if not the best thing) that Indianapolis has to offer. Lots of different exhibits, a lot of interaction, and it’s big.

Went there back in about 1977, but it was just a couple of couples who went. We didn’t take any kids. Shhhhhh. We still had lots of fun there.

You can easily spend two full days with the family here. The exhibits are fun and interactive. Our kids absolutely loved the museum—but Mom and Dad had a great time too. Great to have a place that everyone enjoys—not just the kids.

If you are planning to go—I’d recommend getting the basic family membership. If you go for at least two days (which you really need to do to take in the entire museum), the membership is worth the cost (factoring in the free carousel rides and gift shop discount the membership gets you).

This is one of the best places to visit in Indianapolis, if not THE best. Spend a day or two just walking around, playing in the displays, watching the water clock and maybe catch an IMAX movie, there’s so much to see and do here it’s a bit like a zoo if you go in the summer but it’s still fun.

You and your kids will have a great time.

I tell people to visit Indianapolis just for this place! A friend took me when I visited her (no children) and we both enjoyed it.

I was a toddler. Since then the museum has continued to expand and improve. I love this place. Plain and simple, it’s amazing.

I think I was 16 the first time I ever went to the Children’s Museum. My great aunt took me and my mom and I loved it. Easily one of the best museums I’ve ever stepped foot in and I’ve been to a lot of museums.

It’s true though—doesn’t matter if you’re a kid or an adult, there’s something for everyone and there are a lot of cool hands-on things.

Great spot to take kids, although if you feel like acting like a kid… Great spot to do so!!
