Turkey Run State Park

I grew up about five miles from this park, and went to the school across the road. It’s a nice place, it’s got some beautiful scenery, and canoing is fun on sugar creek (a LOT of people in the summer though… actually, that goes for hiking and camping, too, especially on holiday weekends.)

There’s not a lot else to see in the area, so if you’re around, check it out.

We drove there from school, rented a cabin in the park, walked the trails, had a really nice time.

When I lived in Indiana, we would drive to Turkey Run during the summer and even sometimes during the winter. It’s a beautiful, ancient place. Just don’t take Trail #2.

I like Turkey Run. I don’t live too far away from it either. Canoeing is ok. The hiking is fun. Even though they say not to wade in the creek, my friends and I have and do. :)
